'Nomads Against Their Will' - Umm el-Hieran                   Film                                4:33 mins                    2011

'Nomads Against their Will' is a short film about the unrecognized villages of Atir and Umm el-Hieran in the Naqab, which are threatened with demolition. The film presents the viewer with two possible scenarios for the village's future over the next ten years. The first scenario is based on plans for the village drafted by Arab town planners and architects, while the second scenario is based on the Israeli state plans for Atir-Umm el-Hieran.

‘Umm al-Hieran Unrecognized Village v Hiran Settlement’                    Film                  5 minutes 2013

Palestinian–Bedouin citizens of Israel have been living in Umm el-Hieran since 1956, when the Israeli civil administration moved them to this hill in the Naqab (Negev). Now, the state wants to move them out – and replace their town with the distinctively Jewish “Hiran.” A group of 30 families have been waiting for two years nearby to take Umm el-Hieran’s land.
